In a disgusting move the owner of Teresa's Brick Oven Pizza & Cafe has taken away employees' opportunity to make tips and customers' right to express their gratitude directly to the employees, they are grateful to. He has left the cup for tips on the counter, but re-purposed it by a big sign at the register, which reads:

Your Generosity Is Appreciated,
But Tips are NO LONGER Accepted.
Any Change Left Behind Will Be Donated To The
New York City Fire Department.
Thank You for The Donation!

First of all, it's a lie, that tips are no longer accepted, because they just call them donations from now on and give them to someone else, who hasn't worked and isn't working at this location. And what, if someone doesn't want to donate to the Fire Department, but rather to the employees, who served him? I guess, he shouldn't leave any donation/change behind then. I'm sure, the employees would gladly continue to accept tips, but obviously now they have been told by their manager, that they can't.

On the other hand just compare the salaries of pizzeria employees and firefighters and you'll quickly find out, who needs those tips more, in order to survive.

The owner should better spend his time improving his English, because only titles are supposed to be capitalized, but not sentences.

Contact the manager, ask for the owner and tell him, that you will stop buying anything at Teresa's, if he doesn't reinstate the tips for his employees! That disgusting sign must go!
