Sandra Bullock plays the passionate law student who serves as McConaughey's legal aide and voice of conscience in the racially charged drama, where the local DA is doing everything in his power to keep the case in the racist town with a white majority in the jury. Added to the lead roles is a fine supporting cast, including Kevin Spacey and Ashley Judd.
