Mayan
Cherokee
The creator of the Cherokee alphabet (not of the font!) unfortunately did a very lousy job, because most characters were obviously taken from the Latin and Greek alphabets. However, even if the Cherokees originally didn't have their own writing system, why should they be forced to adopt a European-based alphabet, which is foreign in nature to them? This kind of alphabet could have been developed in a few hours by anyone and lacks the feel of the centuries, of Cherokee history. The Cherokees simply deserve much better, so I urge the Cherokee developers and teachers to come up with something a lot more traditional and stop teaching this white man's alphabet in their schools.
