When mom was still young, she used to lead me by the hand,
We climbed this hill and she always sighed.
“If you puff it out, hardship will be over.
Just don’t look back!” she said笑ってた。
while laughing. Her hands were fair and soft then.
Whether her fate was good or bad,
People sometimes have much to say, butそうゆうことって確かにあると
If what had been said, was true,
I look at you and wonder
To take on this unforgiving hill, savoringly i ponder
Upon the meager life of my mother.
Then suddenly mother became smaller, than me知らぬまに 白い手はとても小さくなった。
And before I knew it, her pale hands had grown small.
she etched it all into the calendar流してきたんだろう
all that was in her course悲しさや苦しさは きっとあったはずなのに。
there must have been much sorrow and pain.
whether her fate was good or bad人は時々口にするけど
people sometimes have much to sayめぐる暦は季節の中で
amidst changing seasons the revolving calendar漂い乍ら過ぎてゆく
nonetheless drifted by and faded忍ぶ 不忍無縁坂 かみしめる様な
to take on this unforgiving hill, savoringly i ponderささやかな僕の 母の人生。
upon the meager life of my mother.
